I'll get shot down for this but I think people are overreacting massively. Yes it was a poor performance and clearly Lam's gamble with rotating players hasn't paid off. Personally I can understand why he did it facing the bottom team on a short turnaround though. Especially considering we are bound to have a fixture backlog at some point due to COVID. Wane did it against Widnes (away, maybe 2013?) and came unstuck. Maguire didn't do it and ran out of steam when it counted in 2011.
Even after last night we have won 7 out of 10 games despite quite a bit of turmoil with big signings (G.Burgess and Greenwood) massively underperforming, and our experienced heads injured/past it (Lockers, Leuluai, Flower, Gildart) forcing us to use a really young pack. Not to mention having to effectively start the season twice due to the break (I know that's the same for all teams).
I'm not necessarily saying Lam is a very good coach, but he's doing enough to put us in a play off position. That's enough right now for me in the system we have. As long as he can do that, I'm willing to judge him on whether he can win the knock out games, not whether we drop the odd one-off clanger in the league four games after the break (the first three of which we won!).
