I will say one thing: if the two matches being shown on free-to-air meant any casual viewers might have seen the games, for all we complain, they have seen two very exciting matches which were a decent advert for the sport.

We’ve gotten away with it for a while now in most games, individual brilliance getting us over the line but KR found us out. Out enthused is in every department.

I said on another thread I was baffled Bullock/Havard weren’t playing and I was right to be, resting players after 5monthd off? Really? Some of Lam’s decisions are astounding.

He isn’t the coach for us. We’re lucky we’re at the top of the table, most games I watch us and I’m utterly amazed we’re there. We don’t look well drilled or well coached, we look all over the place in D and attack. His coaching decisions and style leave a lot to be desired. In his while tenure I can’t remember being impressed by how we’ve played through a full game. We’ve shown glimpses of brilliance, but individually and not as a team. That can’t go on, it isn’t sustainable and isn’t the make of a good side. The sooner he goes the better for me.

100% agree, I'd get rid of Lam in a heartbeat. Said from day one very poor coach

With this side (especially the backs) we should be romping this league

Romping the league may be a push from him/her but my gosh Lam should be getting more out of this group. The back line is frightening on paper but just looks devoid of any idea what our game plan is. If a coach like Maguire or Holbrook took over this squad of players they would have a field day.

It's certainly the case that we have several strikers in the backs who've never really been unleashed during Lam's tenure. French has on occasion, but try-scoring moves flowing through the threequarters and covering distance have been rare.

There’s the odd flash of individual brilliance from French, Hastings or Hardaker but in the main we just look clueless. The standard of superleague is exceptionally poor and a coach worth his salt would have put back line terrorising teams IMO. The best player in the league last year looks to have that little influence over running the team and organising them that he’s just taken to playing as an extra prop/backrower.
