For that to be SOLs first game in 6months, he was incredible. Our attack goes to a different level with him on the pitch. I hope he plays on as long as he wants.

Obviously French, Farrell and the young lads were great as usual but 2 people I’d like to highlight -

Mitch Clark - Very very good today. I was excited when we signed him but have been very disappointed with his performances so far but he was very solid today. Ran hard played big minutes and defensively sound, hope he can build on that.

Joe Greenwood - going really well I thought, the forgot man early in the year and I didn’t think he’d play for us again when he was loaned but thought he went well today aswel as Catalan.

Was Mitch Clark decent or did I imagine that?

Just the one instance when the young fullback made him look like he was glued to the floor but other than that he was very sound today.

Considering we played with only fifteen players for most of the game, a more younger team than normal due to injuries and suspensions and lacking two of our bigger and more experienced prop forwards, a outstanding and very clinical display against a more physical and experienced Hull FC team.

Well done to all concerned both on and off the field.

As Punch would say, that the way to do it!

Outstanding performance following on from an equally impressive one last week. With the numbers out, season's disruptions and young players having to step up you've got to say a big "well done" to all concerned. To be capable of performances like the last two in a season like this takes some mental toughness as well as skill and application.

Re: Hull FC CC : Sun Sep 20, 2020 12:51 pm
That was for me the best performance we’ve put out for a long time. Everyone stepped up to plate, I could list them all to be honest but I’ll pick out Zak, French and Greenwood as having blinders.

Our D was aggressive and gave them no space to play, it killed their attack off each time forcing them into short kicks to the in goal area. Our attack was fluent and crisp. I really have no complaints from yesterday, if I was being really (really) picky I’d say I was disappointed we seemed to dip (ever so slightly) in the second half and concede a try but we lost a few to injuries including Powell who was also exceptional.

I hope this continues, the potential is clearly there and the bar has been set. I’m not naive enough to believe it’s going to be that level week in week out but we know what we’re capable of.

Tommy and JH are our best HB partnership IMO. Smith did well when he came on but for me we should be sticking with that starting partnership for the time being. I could run out of superlatives to describe Lockers yesterday. How he can spend so long on the sidelines to come out and play like that is truly outstanding.
