He’s made a few silly comments on social media in his time at the club but nothing major and they’ve certainly had no impact on his performances. He seems to have really settled down since the return and I think you can cut him some slack with what looked to be a tough period for him. I think somebody mentioned the senior players being asked their thoughts on him staying and if that’s true, I think that tells a bit of a story that there may be some reservations about his character behind the scenes. You don’t do that with a player as good as Hastings on ability alone. On the field keeping him is an absolute given if you have the chance.
