Watts is good ball in hand but he is also a penalty machine which gets overlooked too easily by fans

Watts hasn’t been at his best but we’re in a position of needing to take a punt on somebody with a physical presence IMO.

On the plus side I thought the bench props lifted us tonight. I don’t think Lam is even close to getting his starting front row right but maybe that’ll come in time.

Byrne and Havard were a handful, made loads of metres after contact and worked hard with no errors. Clarke one great run but that was it and he looks so poor defensively.

They’re doing great and we just need to do something about getting more support around them now. I’m chuffed Byrne rammed some of our own fans comments down their throats tonight. I thought Clark did ok but no more really. His weaknesses let down the good work he does sometimes.

I don’t know what is happening with Bullock but he can’t be putting it in during the week to not make this team. I’d be looking to start him every week but he did have a slow start when we did that. I’m hoping this is Lams way of kicking him up the backside because I’ve always said he seems to need that.

Clark and Bullock are very similar, good go-forward but have zero engine and are really poor defensively.

Singleton looks like he’s in slow motion this season.

Clark’s first game for months... he was always going to be off the pace.

AL: "I was really proud of Mitch Clark. He hasn't played all year, but he's been training hard and did really well."

Why haven’t you f’ing played him before then? You really think Tony Clubb making 31m a game is a better option? Or Joe Shorrocks? Why’s it taken 7 games to test that?

I think it is clear that Shorrocks is part of Lam's planning in a way that Clark isn't. And I can see sense in that. He isn't a prop anyway, so I don't think it's case of, him or Clark for a spot.

The Prop Problem just got worse if this is true.

https://www.wigantoday.net/sport/rugby- ... es-3241565

Unless we read the obvious into it, namely that someone bigger and better is on the way.

But unless it's someone pretty good, I'd be disappointed. I know a few folk on here don't feel that Bullock works hard enough, but I've always felt he has real potential to be an effective strike weapon ... if a coach were ever to come along who could bring that out of him.

Bullock seems to have a face that does not fit. We have heard that before at Wigan. How many years have we been spending the whole first half on the back foot before fighting back waiting to sign a prop who can make meters after contact? I know that we have done pretty well playing a defensive game but we are competing with Saints who are still a couple of steps up on us. Bullock can go forward bit his defence is less robust so he will probably be replaced with a 90kg converted back row. If this and the Kilner rumour true we could have lost four props by seasons end unless Clubb gets an extension. Sadly I would not rule anything out.

Really like the lad. If he does go to Warrington I’d like to see if they could get more out of him, to me he looks like somethings held back. Whether that can be coached out of him would be interesting to see.

Looking like we’ll have a big transitioning year next year with people coming in and out, maybe even swap out of Lam.

Somebody watch Bullocks attempted “tackle” for Hull second try in the cup loss and tell me they’d be upset he’s leaving. But no the odd good 15m carry in his 12min spell and the Facebook fans really rate him.

I’d stated before and I’ll state again it’s not the young lads letting us down, it’s the senior props (bullock, Singleton, Clark, Clubb).

We should be losing 3 of them at the end of the year, hopefully Singleton can find last years form and we sign 2/3 good props.
