I believe that Marshall trained at FB in the 2019 preseason and Lam was quite impressed and it confirmed his view that we should move Escare on.

I’m a bit like yourself in why would play two players out position??
Hope it pays off but I was looking forward to watching Hanley at FB

He loves flogging young forwards to death but won’t play a young back in his natural position, instead choosing to play a guy coming back from a shocking knee injury at fullback, a position where he will need to do far more work, with just one game under his belt.

Wake me up when he’s gone.

Even Agent Millward didn't make decisions like this

I might sound like a broken record, but it links into the above...

He'll keep flogging these kids because he won't bring Hank back and let guys like Isa and Faz get back where they belong.

Also the thought of Marshall defending at FB, or taking the high balls fills me with dread.

He looks like guy under stress and having been there I know that you can make some rash and at times incomprehensible decisions when you really feel the pressure.

I’ve been quite critical of Lam but I wouldn’t want to be in his shoes at the moment. He’s clearly out of depth with an unbalanced squad and an injury to his key strike player.

Like yourself I hope that Marshall gets through the game unscathed

Looks like Harvard and Partington will be playing at least 60 minutes each.

I anticipate another defeat but would be made up if we could scramble a win. We need a good start something that just doesn’t seem to be in our dna at the moment. When was the last time that we led led by two tries in say the first 20 minutes.

Maybe not this week, but I'd love to be in his spot for next week.

Pick the right team, get them hunting & hungry in defence again and play it simple - complete sets, get the ball out on the last and go hunting again.

I still think we're a good side, not the best in the league but a lot better than what we're seeing.

I think the key to this is Hastings, it's really time to just give him free reign. I was looking at the Salford side that did us in 2019 and this Wigan side is far better (imo obviously), they just let Hastings run the team.
