O/T Tales From Tiger Town : Sat Sep 04, 2021 7:13 pm
Stumbled upon this documentary on YT which gives a good perspective on life at the West Tigers who are coached my Micheal Maguire.

Not sure how he compares to other coaches but the half time team talks can be pretty intense.

A decent watch (overall quality isn’t great and you will need to adjust replay speed on settings).

Worth checking out.

Thanks!

I’ve seen it advertised on the NRL games, never thought to look on YT.

Just seen the score from this morning. A 38-0 defeat against Canterbury

I'd have him back tomorrow.

I don't care that things have gone wrong for him at Wests, he did amazing work in his first season at Souths and he proved himself more than a match for most of SL.

Okay, he wouldn't have the Wigan team he had in 2010, but that team got nowhere near winning anything till Madge got hold of it.

If nothing else, there'd be no lack of discipline in the camp with him and Wane in charge.

I’d have him back tomorrow and start a crowdfunding thingy to help pay his flights!! Sadly, I just can’t see past Matty Peet getting the job.

Yep, it’s interesting that not everyone is blaming the coach as you might expect. It seems the club have issues attracting new players and I think they have had their fair share of injuries too.

I watched an interview with Gus where they pretty much said that any coach would struggle with their current squad.

Be interesting to see how Hastings and Gildart get on next year.

He’s basically lost the dressing room. None of the players rate him as a coach and he’s the reason why they can’t sign decent players despite having millions available on the cap. Once they sack him off and get a decent coach players will sign for west’s.
