Apparently it was " Well known he didn't get on with the coach".

Well, I will agree that he has a lot more in common with his new coach, our old one.

He must like the money then.

I'm sure none of us really bought into the 'travel being a pain' thing. Zak's just a very undisciplined player. Lammy tolerated it, but Matty Peet wouldn't.

I also suspect he bought into the 'return of the Messiah' attitude of certain deluded Leeds fans, when in reality it doesn't look as if the new guy at Leeds had any intention of keeping him on.

Not many of those that I would want on our roster.

Yeah, but still solid signings for a championship club coming up.

They’ll have a strong enough side on paper to stay up Leigh IMO. A backline of Hardaker, Ferguson, MacDonald, Leutele, Charnley, O’Brien and Lam is as good as quite a few teams and better than a few as well. They’ve also got some real threat with Ipape out of dummy half and some solid forwards. There will be a few clubs sweating looking at that side IMO because there won’t be a Toulouse or London to try and creep above.

Leigh Leopards

And capped off by the jersey. 17 men with a big tame looking cat on their chests. In years to come when the 'what's the worst kit ever made' conversation crops up somebody will laugh and say 'remember Leigh......'

Can i be the first to call them the 'Moggies'

'Do you remember when we had that meeting in Orlando? We talked about how we were knocked out the previous year by Leeds. And at the end, I asked you one question. "Do you want to be a semi-final team? Or do you want to do something special?" You all said you wanted to win. But talking is easy – it needed you to believe. It needed you to work hard – harder than you had – and make sacrifices. You did all that. you worked for each other. You stuck together when it was tough. And because of your efforts, you sit here tonight as champions. I'm proud of you. Be proud of yourselves. You've done something special.'

Shaun Wane's post-Grand Final speech. 5th October 2013.
