I love the ideal of stability at head coach.
Different sport obviously but the Pittsburgh Steelers have had only 3 head coaches since 1969 and have been a successful team in those years.
Obviously a bit chicken and egg, but can anyone name a coach who was at a club for a long time, who isn't regarded as a great?
Bennett did 20 years at Brisbane. Bellamy as others have pointed out. Clearly (despite that one year away) has been at Penrith since 2012. Fergie, Klopp, Wenger, Pep etc in footy.
I really hope Peet does 20 years here and is regarded as our greatest ever coach.
Why won't it end well? If he does 7 years, then he'll have done a decade like Klopp has. What's not ended well there? If anything, the fans are begging him to stay.
