Every player in our squad could probably earn more money with another club. But they prefer to sacrifice a few extra quid in their back pocket to share special memories. And playing at a place like Old Trafford on a night like this makes it all worthwhile.

OROY - Andrew Luck

The media has been making a lot of noise about this but IMO he should be fourth in the pecking order behind RGIII, Wilson and Alfred Morris.

I'm not going to start bashing Luck, who has had a decent rookie season and will no doubt have a stellar career but this rookie class have achieved some truly remarkable things and the achievements of RGIII, Wilson and Morris have been greater than Lucks.

RGIII has been rookie of the week seven times, Luck three and Morris two (though Morris may well get it this week).

RGIII has posted one of the greatest ever passer ratings by a rookie. Incidentally, Wilson did as well, just not quite as good as RGIIIs.

Luck has played like a rookie at times, turning the ball over way too much. He's lead some come backs but many have been digging the Colts out of holes he has put them in. I'm not bashing the kid, that is what you expect from a rookie. But that is something that RGII has not done.

Luck has taken a poor Colts team to the playoffs. RGIII has taken a worse Redskins team to the Playoffs and has done so by winning a division, not a wild card with a much tougher schedule than Luck has faced. I know the Colts were the worst team in football last year but they were a Qb away from a team that regularly won their division. They were playoff regulars. The Redskins have been last in the NFC East for four consecutive seasons prior to this.

Oh, and Alfred Morris has very quietly been second in the league in rushing, 2nd in rushing TDs and posted the 3rd best rookie rushing season EVER.

So, all said, I'd bracket them RGIII, Wilson, Morris and Luck. But Luck may garner a lot of hype because the Colts have been such a heart warming story and so easy to root for.

This week: Four keys to a Rhinos win in the WCC

13-3, in a division where no team finished worse than 7-9.

1st seed in the NFC.

A QB who broke the franchise record for TD passes in a season.

The only TE in NFL history with five 90-catch seasons

A WR who became only the fifth player in NFL history to post three consecutive 90-catch, 1200-yard seasons

It's nice to still be flying under the radar though, everyone else just keep talking about the Packers and whoever else...

I think it's the lack of playoff pedigree Andy. Win one or two playoff games and the "experts" might start talking about you.

Didn't I tell you a year or so back after your last playoff exit that you were in good shape?

RGIII isn't asked to do as much as luck. I wouldn't get too excited about Morris either, I agree that he has done very well.

Mike Anderson
Olandis Gary
Rueben Droughns

to name a few are products of the zone blocking scheme.

Relatively easy strength of schedule - but fair play you are a good regular season team.

Again, fair play.

32 is hardly earth shattering.

Good player.

You are justifiably being written off a little given how much Matty Ice regresses when it gets to playoff time.

Yet to throw for 200 yards in the playoffs.
71.2 passer rating.
Of 95 QB's with over 100 pass attempts in the playoffs Ryan is 92nd with 5.31 yards per attempt.
38 offensive points on 33 possessions - 1.15 points per drive.
Hasn't scored a point in 1 hour of play.

Complete fallacy.

Greg Rosenthal on NFL.com has watched every snap of every rookie QB and he disagrees with you. Based on the lazy cliche you trotted out about RGIII I'm guessing you haven't watched many of his snaps.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000121117/article/rookie-qb-rankings-season-in-review-rg3-on-top
I wouldn't get too excited about Morris either, I agree that he has done very well.

Mike Anderson

If the Zone blocking scheme is so easy why has Darren Mcfadden failed so spectacularly in it this year?

I will get very excited about the 3rd greatest rookie running back season ever, even if you want to dismiss it.

McFadden is a cut runner and like's to hit a hole rather than wait for one to develop and be patient. which is why he struggles, also different o-lines.
