I'm not a fan of Mancini, but calling him a farcical figure is ridiculous. Mancini's performance in Europe has been poor, but they did have an extremely difficult group. It's not like they had Man Utd's group last year, now that would have been farcical.

If Mancini is getting replaced then they are even worse than we are about bosses. There were the rumours that Mancini was at the ground for Hughes last match when Mancini was being brought in. Getting rid of Mancini after he'd just won the FA Cup would be going out of their way to be pricks. That's probably the biggest reason why I don't think it's true. It just seem like something created far more to put Man City off their performance than something a club would do.

I'm sure Mancini feels like hell tonight.

But David Moyes looks a bit of a mug too. Won nothing in over 10 years at Everton. His side were smacked 3-0 by Wigan. And Wigan go and beat Man City with help from an awesome performance from Callum McManaman - an Everton reject.

Just look on the bright side. At least there's no conflict over United and Citeh having their trophy parades on the same day.

Wigan were very good. Nullified City for most of the game, had a couple of scary moments when Tevez went through and when a ball flashed across the face of goal but everything else they dealt with.

Martinez was spot on tactically. Left Caldwell out who is prone to an error or 5 and the back 3 stayed tight on the front men. Espinoza, McManaman and Kone offered good outlets and Wigan flooded the midfield when not on the ball and closed the gaps between the midfield and defence well.

City lacked any real intent or ambition. The seem like a massively demotivated set of players. It will be interesting to see if City stick with Mancini - either way next years title race will open up with a change in managers at United, Chelsea and possibly City plus Arsenal seemed to have picked up this back end, I wonder if they can sustain some form next season?

I hope Wigan can get something at Arsenal, beat Villa and Newcastle go down.
