IIRC, Rossi's contract runs to the end of next season. I agree that he needs three seasons (circa 7-8 wins a season) to break the record. I'm sure Yamaha will be happy to keep him on for that period of time although I agree that it wouldn't be a surprise to see Lorenzo overtake him as top dog in the next year or two.

I forgot to put down that Pedrosa does spend some time in the gravel. Then that just leaves Stoner and Lorenzo unless there is someone else I've missed. I'd like to say Nicky Hayden is a threat but he's not.
