Money is the only reason for the CL group stages. The TV companies aren't going to risk tens of millions of Euros if their clubs are only going to play two games. The guaranteed group games means TV companies are prepared to back the CL to the extent they do.

Cavalieri really isn't that bad, he's obviously not a world beater but he's a decent enough back up. Much like Kusczak.

Now that Pegguy was craap. The other lad wasn't so bad, but never seemed to get a chance. You'll know better than me (probably ) but wasn't Nielsen at Anfield for a good few years?

I don't remember Nielsen at all. I was only young then so I never watched and remembered things as much. Only reason I remember Taibi is because of that clanger vs Le Tissier.
