Valencia is supposed to be winger, but how many times has he actually gone past someone this season?
Over the past three games, quite a lot. He's been our most effective player too. Without him and his crossing, United wouldn't have scored 4 goals.
I'm not bothered if he doesn't take on players as regularly or as easily as Lennon does. His final ball into the box, is IMO much better than Lennon's, and he is able to get the ball into decent areas for attackers, even when surrounded by two men. He has been our key man, and has stepped up since Giggs' absence.
Not only that, but his link up play with Rafael, Neville, Fletcher and Park down the right wing has been great, so that we've been able to add something different to the attack. Our right hand side is our most dangerous when Valencia plays.

Without Rooney would you be second and in the QFs? Unlikely.
Likewise with Drogba at Chelsea, Fabregas at Arsenal and Tevez at City.
