Hmmm disappointing loss again at home again in O/T for the Hawks who now face elimination in Phoenix being 3-1 down in the series.

Anybody who hasn't seen the Pens/Flyers game 3,Premiersports are showing it tonight freeview for everybody at 9.30 just before they encrypt for game 4.

I have to be honest I only started watching NHL this year and love the ferocity of it, it's exhilarating but for me the violence at times is too much. I like a bit of biff and big hits in RL but on ice at 30 mph it seems too much at times. Or maybe I'm being soft.

Just f****** brilliant. Spend all that time atop the Eastern Division/Conference, and now facing elimination in the first round of the playoffs.

Chicago are out of the playoffs after losing 4-0 last night.Once again Smith in the Coyotes net won it for them,if you swapped the n/m's round I think the Hawks would have won the series 4-0.

Chicago are added to Pittsburgh,Vancouver and Detroit as big tv rating teams already out,Bettman will be praying the Boston and NY win their game sevens or the ratings could drop through the floor.I'll still watch whoever is still in but in the USA the casual fan wants big names(teams or players) to watch and there might not be many left in a couple of days.

As a Capitals fan I know that feeling. I still have flashbacks of Montreal.

Or lets not. Another original 6 team bites the dust in the first round and the 2nd year running the defending Champs have gone out 1st round, Chicago last year and Bruins this year.

The 1st round is over and I only managed to predict 2 of the 8 teams to go through.Here is my predictions for the next round

East
NY/Washington
NY to win in 6
Philly/NJ
Philly to win in 5

West
Nashville/Phoenix
Nashville to win in 7
St Louis/LA
St Louis to win in 5

Conference finals start tonight with NY/NJ and it's Phoenix/LA in the other.I'm hoping for a LA/NJ final but it'll probably be NY/Pho.
