Buckie become champions of britains most northerly league but cannot get any further - the bottom place in Scottish division 3 retain their place as there is no relegaton so Clyde continue to be able to play there next year - strange system ?

No difference to Super League, really. Think you need to finish bottom of the Third Division for three consecutive seasons before relegation becomes a prospect?

yeh,strange rule that - it can't be a geographical thing seeing as Elgin & Peterhead play in the higher divisions - pity they can't apply the same rules that applied to the old fourth division in england ie.bottom club having to re-apply for league status ?

I think if a Highland League club wants to apply for SFL status then they can do so but I get the impression that the SFL is a financial black hole until the First Division at the very least. Certainly some big crowds at Junior games and would expect similar at HFL games.

Shame he missed. I hate Lennon with a passion.

What is it with Scottish football at the moment? I've worked in Aberdeen on and off and never come across any fervent religious opinions. Yet there seems to be an awful lot of tension in Scottish football which seems to be on religious grounds. Is the situation in Scotland more tense in reality or is the football side of things just losing the plot?

Celtic fans all pretend to be Irish and hate anything British, this includes boo'ing the minutes silence on remembrance day. Rangers fans are all Rule Britannia and of course, they both tend to fall on differing religious beliefs too, which leads to petty bickering and the sectarianism.
