Was Mikel, Essien and Lamps even playing. Why CA played Anelka behind Drog and Torres i dont know and i really hope that won't be the formation he tries to make work as it wont imo
We are misssing something, i have no idea what it is but theres something definatley missing.
I have said it before and I'll continue to say it, Chelsea needed a passing midfielder in the final third, David Silva being the best example of this type of player. I know they signed Benayoun, but he is underratedly average. Signing another out-and-out striker to go with the other two they have was baffling, but Roman knows best. The alleged move for Aguero didn't even make sense. Torres has never hit it off with another striker, not Kuyt, Crouch, Keane or even Villa for Spain, he is half the player when he's playing for others, whilst his mediocre passing ability makes him a poor link player.
Still, delighted with today's win. I hope LGJM enjoyed it, there's nothing better than knowing a first class tosser has just seen his team ruined by those he hates most.
Liverpool 6/1 with skybet to finish in the top four. Probably better somewhere else (and I'm 15 so can't actually bet) but surely this is worth a punt.

Who do you think stood out for us today, Rob? Who would be your 1,2,3? I thought Lucas was expectional, again. As was Carra, on his return, he's just a consistent rock at the back for us. Meireles had a good game an a great finish for the goal. Kuyt did ok, up top. I think we'll see Suarez' first start on Saturday versus Wigan, which hopefully will be another three points.
Great win the "smaller" club today, wonder if Torres still thinks we're the club in decline. Thought he was gonna cry when being subbed. £58Mill sat in the stands - not needed to dispose of the plastic club.

Don't think there were any individual standouts, it was a proper team performance where everybody was working for each other. There were some highlight moments, particularly for Lucas who had a great game, but I wouldn't say anybody was a standout.
Still, in terms of team selection, it's hard to say because we have £58m of strike force to come in and entirely change our team. Until we get them both in, I wouldn't really change things too much, but Lucas, Gerrard and Meireles should stay together in midfield.
We have Wigan at home next game so the three players at the back aren't needed so much, I'd probably bring in Suarez for Carragher or Skrtel and stick him off of Kuyt.

I don't think Glen deserves to be dropped. Was rather daft of him to bump Ivanovic, but what a soft sod Ivanovic was.
Other than that, we'd probably line up with a 4-3-3, with Suarez coming off the left and Maxi coming in off the right. Can't believe he missed that today, but with Suarez, we'll definitely him, Gerrard and Raul looking to get the ball into Suarez's feet in good positions. Still, as long as we continue playing so well collectively, bringing in one or two different faces each week won't matter too much.
He is a top player, mate, probably the signing of the season. I've not watched loads of him, but have a mate who's a Toon fan and he's raved all season, he says he'd get into any side in the league, it's hard to argue, really. Superb defensively and assured on the ball, his goal yesterday was Chris Baird-esque.
Think he'd be a great fit at Arsenal, he'd add that steel they've been screaming for since Gilberto lost his legs. Hope you keep hold of him.
