They are seriously going to have to look at the timing of this tournament. That's about the fourth retirement in the last couple of days and whilst not all were solely due to the heat, it certainly has had an effect.

Dinara through - not been playing her best but still winning. She's the eventual winner for me

Cara Black and Liezel Huber exit the doubles to Ai Sugiyama and Daniella Hantuchova. Still something for the Aussie's to cheer about - Casey Dellacqua and her partner made it through to the next round
