Appalling behaviour considering the obscene amounts of money he's probably getting.

What can a football club do in terms of an ultimate deterrant to these mercenaries everywhere?

I mean, could City keep his registration for the duration of his contract, forcing him to train on his own for 8 hours a day, 7 days a week, fining him a weeks wage everytime he turns up late/doesn't turn up for example? Would there be something in his contract allowing him to leave if he didn't get x amount of game time?

It couldn't have happened on a better night for you, the same player too, magical. I think it's unfair to say footballers though, it isn't every footballer that carries on like this - just the spoilt few. It's pathetic, it really is, he wants to move yet shows the worst side of himself he possibly can. He's in a very priviledged position, he should realise it.

I didn't think it was a dull night though, I won a fair whack of money on the football.

Shocking behaviour from Tevez, funny though!!

Dzecko also had a wobbler when brought off a bit like Suarez at the weekend.

Utd were awful defensively, tbh they have been shaky all season. Needs fixing, playing too open and the defence is getting no protection. Wonder if Jones to cm is an option...?

United will still get out the group. No big worries, defensively we were bad, like PAUL M said no protection, I think the team have got a bit giddy with the attacking aspect. Phil Jones looked a bit lost at times last night. Also credit needs to got to Basel as well.

He got us into the Champions League and the first non-SKY 4 team into the top 3.

TBH I don’t mind last night’s result. It was naïve to think we, with only two central midfielders, could beat, arguably, the form team in Europe on their own patch.

What Tevez did is a disgrace. The club has done a lot to accommodate him and push through a move for him but he is unwilling to drop his wage demands. However, due his behaviour last night he has basically handed all the power back to City.

I would expect City, as a minimum to suspend him without pay until he is sold. He will have to lower his wage demands. His lawyers would be advised to accept that because City could well have grounds to summarily dismiss him, sue for the value of his contract and then retain his registration.

Here, in this country now, for 5 years, and still can't speak the language???...He can. How can he have conversations with Dwight Yorke (as Yorke revealled, on Sky last night, that they've spoken a few times....mind you, Yorke has trouble speaking English, too).
He uses any excuse to change clubs...I'm unhappy, my family is unhappy, no game time, Manchester is crap, not enough restaurants, the weather, I want to retire early....the list is endless.

As usual, Mancini has conducted himself well. Best manager City have had in my football watching lifetime.
He's got rid of HUGE troublemakers in Adebayour and Bellamy, and trying to get rid of a useless article like Crocky Santa Cruz. He wont stand for any mess. Good on you, Roberto.

Tevez, go now. His 'statement' this morning is nothing short of ridiculous, and (more than likely) downright lies.

One thing's to be sure, that walking peice of excrament, Kia Joorabchian is behind this latest episode.
