Considering Phil Thompson said mid season that we had got Enrique for £12 million, I'll happily accept the £6 million fee.

Some interesting stats regarding Enrique as well. Doesn't make him a better player than any of these but still nice to see.

Succesful Dribbling last season Enrique 65 - Evra 26 - Baines 26 - Clichy 21 - Cole 17
Tackle success - Evra 76% - Enrique 84% - Baines 74% - Clichy 81% - Cole 61%
Beaten 1 on 1 - A. Cole (38), Clichy (26), Baines (24), Evra (23), Enrique (9)

Regarding Enrique... he's surely worth more than that, but suppose he's nearly at the end of his contract and not wanting to sign another.

Will be happy if we get the Dutch international left back, Erik Pieters, as his replacement, but with how optimistic I'm feeling we're more likely to end up with Andi Peters.

I bet no striker will be signed, will be expected to plod on with Ameobi and Ba, with Best waiting in the wings for when Ba's knee packs in.

Well when we sold Arbeloa to Madrid when he had a year left on his deal, he went for £5m (I think) and he was a Spanish international at the time. Enrique isn't an international and, whilst he's a good player, if you were to compare Arbeloa's 'stock' when he was leaving Liverpool to Enrique's, you'd probably say Arbeloa's worth more.

Overspending by £1m/£2m or whatever isn't too bad, really, but spending £15m+ on players with a year left on their deal, well, deary me.
