And so you aim towards the sky,
And you'll rise high today,
Fly away, Far away,
Far from pain....

Everton have revealed their figures and without having seen them it seems it's not as pessimistic as had been rumoured (Up to May 10 anyway).

But there is also no room for any transfer spending in the foreseeable future according to those who have commented on them. Hard to see how Moyes will be able to build anything going forward and remaining in the PL will be a challenge with no spending permitted.

Those figures and the report with it from the chief executive have all the ingredients for Moyes to walk in the summer.

Incomes down, wages up, no investment in sight, no new signings.....It adds up to at least 1 high value player (Rodwell or Feillani) going.

Put all that together and just what would be the point of Moyes staying, barring he is pretty much untouchable, sack-wise?

Whilst we ain't going bust just yet (though we are 'walking a tightrope' according to the chief exec), we are going further behind even the mid table clubs, like Stoke and Blackburn......It's getting grimmer.

So Gerrard's defence was lying when they said he started hitting the guy because he thought he was going to be attacked? Well I never.

Now we know the truth. He was defending his wife's honour. And Gerrard's 4 mates were just defending their ex's honour?

A defensive scouser? Surely not!

We are playing better though. We were far too submissive under Roy, our passing was aimless, we had little shape and the players clearly couldn't make it work for him. Under Kenny, we've looked much stronger in every aspect, it's more than just confidence, it's utilizing player strengths, playing in a way the team are comfortable with and generally applying much more positivity to the team.

There will be bigger tests to come, which is why I'd hope we'd just show a little patience and wait until April before handing over the big contract. This season, every single game has been a massive test, under Roy we barely convinced with any of our performances, we are playing much more convincingly under Kenny, although the lack of top quality means we can't play like the very best at the moment, but I'd rather see us try to play good football, than play like we did under Roy.

Kenny's doing well, having Comolli in above him, I feel, suits him quite well, so long as they're all on the same wave length.

Still, we're doing really well and form like this should have been happening a long time ago, if we can stay in the top 6, then we will have met 'expectations' IMO, despite Roy's best attempts to drag us down. We have a long way to go, but I feel everybody at the club knows this, which will result in a massive summer with regards to the exit door, IMO.

Does look pretty grim if there isn't a buyout. And I can't see how there can be.

Everton, with their comparatively low debts, big support base and have-won-trophies history would be a prime takeover target were it not for the stadium. Any buyer has either to sit in a low capacity ground that will limit it's financial performance dramatically OR build a new one with no help from anyone as the Council only seem interested in helping Liverpool.
