I agree.

And as for England captains who should have never played for England again, that scumbag who kicked an opponent in the face and then got off with it because he threatened not to play for England if he got done for it. He should have been banned for life from playing for England.

Listening to The Game podcast has put me right off Barclay as a journo. When he was only on The Sunday Supplement, he had an air of dignified superiority about it - like the whole thing was beneath him. That made him come across as a serious football man. On The Game podcast he comes across as a bit of a silly old man. Some of the crap he comes out with is comical and his fawning over the Qatar World Cup bid was 'suspect' to say the least.

Whilst I'm on about The Game podcast; do any Liverpool fans a) listen to that and b) have an opinion about Alison Rudd. An utter embarrassment and I have no doubt that real Liverpool fans cringe every time she is on there banging on about 'beautiful football'. Do me a favour love.

I can't say I have ever listened to it. However I am looking at building a podcast library of football/rugby league to listen to whilst at the gym. Is it worth an addition to the library?

Do you have to be a subscriber to listen to that?

I am partial to the Football Weekly podcast from The Grauniad, that's consistently good.

Worth a listen but it can get irritating. Occasionally the dreadful Matthew 'Smug' Syed is invited on. He's another one who is always going on and on about 'beautiful football'.

Football Weekly (Guardian) and The Football Ramble are excellent. The latter is just a bunch of blokes having football related banter but it works for that reason.

The McDermott and O'Conner podcast from William Hill is a bit hit and miss but still worth a listen. If Radio Manchester started doing podcasts of Rugby League extra that would be a must listen.
