You've stolen my washing From out my back garden You've tarmacked my driveway Even though I said no You've nicked my lead flashing And weighed it in at the scrappy Oh St Helen's tatters Come rob me again
This was probably a good toss to lose. If you put the opposition in you have to bowl them out within the first day's play (or equivalent in number of overs, i.e. 90 overs) and go on to take a significant first innings lead as far as I'm concerned. Fair enough, Kallis is a class act and without him as a fly in the ointment we might already be batting, and might yet go on to take that first innings lead.
But that would mean picking a side without a black African, so it's not likely to happen. A shame, as we're playing opponents who can't select their best XI. (And they wonder why Pietersen, Trott & others choose to make their future elsewhere. It's the new apartheid.)
Prince is a grinder; Duminy is overrated after a flattering start to his Test career. They're both good enough for Test cricket but not in great form and not quite as good as some of the English media have made them out to be.
It would appear you are on a par with the English media
