Dan, you're quite clearly thinking of a different incident to me. This incident, Carroll was next to Howard, Carroll's arm was sticking out, but no push/jump/collision happened, his arm touched Howard and he flew. Jagielka's dive was also similar, he skied the ball and just done a superman, he was lucky Suarez never scored the header because he probably wouldn't be in the England squad right now if he was made to pay.
I'm not condoning Suarez's actions, he play acts and he dives, I get that, it's not new to me so I needn't bother moaning, only United players get that treatment. Point is, there was contact, so Everton fans that say he wasn't touched - when he clearly was - just irks me, as it seems that when they say stuff like this, it becomes the consensus view.
I edited my post after you had already responded to my original post, mate. Yeah I agree it wasn't a foul on Howard having seen it again. He went up for the ball felt a touch hit the post and went over, I still think after going up for a high ball he'd probably have hit the deck anyway but he got back up straight away unlike Suarez. Magical things those red cards, seemed to heal his bad leg.
I'm not saying he wasn't touched, there is contact but it's probably impossible for there not to be contact. It was Rodwell's knee against Suarez's boot or ankle, it was a brushing at best. Probably the worst tackle of the game and you haven't mentioned it, you do surprise me

Give over, Dan. There was contact, Suarez went down, he made a meal of it but most players do. No red card but there was definitley contact, so Suarez was hardly 'cheating' was he?
If by him rolling around like he'd just had his leg ripped off meant Atkinson produced the red then yes although we'll never know that. There was contact between Rodwell's knee and Suarez's boot, how that warranted the rolling around and limping off the pitch I'll never know.
