Aww diddums. Don't get all upset mate. It was Roys fault, we know. I'm guessing it's nearly as sad as going back over all the posts and highlighting them yellow.
SKY knew full well when they hired Buzzer that they weren't going to get a cool, dispassionate analysis of the game, just a very passionate admittedly one eyed City viewpoint.

Laugh at him as much as you like, he achieved the seemingly impossible task of increasing his already iconic status as far as City fans are concerned.
And they wonder why they get called bitter. Summerbee is a laughing stock- the fact he may get lauded for his childish reaction by city fans says it all.

Lord God Jose Mourinho wrote:
Okay, so how many bids were made and how much were they offering?

If rumours are good enough to say that Juve and Inter were sniffing around Scholes and Giggs, then obviously Barca were interested in Lampard over the last couple of years.

The simple fact is that even with Roman's wealth, we haven't even bothered trying to sign any United players because we know that it's pretty much impossible to get them. We thought we had a chance with Gerrard, and for one day it looked like it may be on. We tried with Torres and we managed to get him, but if Liverpool hadn't had their fall into mid-table I don't think we'd have got him, unless we really paid through our noses for him.

The transfers of Giggs and Scholes were never on. Inter and Juve may have made noises about trying to get them, but making noises is no good without serious offers. Serious offers have never been made for either Giggs or Scholes IMO. Inter and Juve were probably just playing the Tottenham game of "nearly" signing players. It's a lot cheaper than actually signing players.

If you had a ****ing brain, you would realise that this isn't a moan. It's just stating a simple fact - Man United are one of the very biggest and richest clubs. You don't buy one of their players unless United are willing to sell. When United sold Hughes to us he went because United were letting him go, same with Beckham. The Ronaldo case was one of the very few where it was the players choice. But he was going for a world record fee and going to one of the very few clubs who can offer more than United.

Giggs and Scholes, as good as they were, were not on a similar level.

Calm down sweet cheeks. You stated that no other club were interested in Giggs or Scholes. You were wrong.

I agree with your sentiment in the that it's easier to stay loyal at a club where you have a good chance to win things, rather than a lesser club. However, you put it in a way in which your state your opinion as fact.

Like I said previously, I'd rather listen to qualified opinions on Scholes ability rather than keyboard warriors.

He was calm, controlled, reasoned and impartial in his expert analysis. He demonstrated his keen, statistical mind by stating that City had had more possession than United which must have been embarrassing for the Opta/Sky statisticians as they had United down as having slightly more possession than the visitors. Did Summerbee gloat? Not a chance! He took the pressure off the stattoes by saying that he had no time for statistics. What a guy!

I think it definitely looked better in print than it was watching it.

He was a biased Citeh summariser. Dwight Yorke was a biased United summariser. Summerbee was obviously pi55ed off with the defeat and let that show. I don't think it's that big a crime.

Has Summerbee had much TV experience recently? If that's his first gig doing this type of thing in a long time I think he might get a few more chances. When Gary Linekar first went on to TV presenting he was stunningly awful.

Summerbee does a lot of work for City's in house media and the local press. He's cheerleader in chief of our ex players. Unashamedly biased and always trying to put a positive on any City story. Sky will have known exactly what to expect and I'm sure were more than pleased at the way it turned out. I doubt he'll get that many more chances because he'll never show the slightest interest in anything unrelated to the club.

Although I actually thought the funniest bit was when he nearly blew a gasket when his best mate George Best wasnt included in the Manchester All Stars, or whatever it was called, team.

A complete miss hit from Rooney, he shinned it in. Had that hit his boot plum it would have ended up in row Z.
