Not a chance.....if staying fit, I reckon Welbeck is a shoe-in as Rooney's replacement......A decent season with United and the lad will probably be built up as our saviour come competition time.
As things stand now, Bent seems the best bet as his partner, but as for Carroll, unless he suddenly learns how to be a footballer, he hopefully won't make the squad....If he does, it simply highlights how poor we really are.
Can Liverpool do anything without cheating? They leave a really unsavoury taste in the mouth with their approach to the game. It's all about how much they can con out of the referee. Suarez and Adam have been a complete joke, diving round left, right and centre.
Some ridiculous decisions from the referee as well. The hack at Evra's knee isn't given yet Adam's dive is deemed worthy of a free kick that could win them the game. The thing that really frustrated about Liverpool is that their diving is really obvious and yet the ref's do nothing about it. Downing at the end of the first half should have been booked, the defender was 6 feet away from him when he dived. Adam for the free kick was on his way down from the challenge before he'd even arrived at it.

Been a really good game to watch this. In keeping with the season so far United have had no interest in defending and Liverpool really should have won this in the last 5 minutes. Kuyt, Skirtel, Henderson all bombing glorious opportunities.
A friend of mine played against Harvey in a local league game a few years after he'd retired as a pro. Harvey was a mate of the team manager and was helping him out during an injury crisis. Apparently Harvey was the most creative player on the pitch. He didnt make any special saves but his distribution was a real eye opener to the amateur lads. They were having to drop players back into defense because Harvey was creating so many chances with his clearances. Just emphasised the gulf between the pros and good amateurs.

Convincing arguement there. pal! was listening to the game at work, sounds like Liverpool were murdering us. Even the comedy gold that was John Aldridge's commentary wasn't needed to tell me that. Happy with 1 point after that
