A section of the Chelsea support has acted like the spoiled chlldren of rich parents. Hopefully no decent manager worth his salt will take the job and they'll be left dragging someone like Steve Clarke back.
It doesn't help matters that the biggest spoilt child in the whole scenario is the guy who owns the club....
I really cant take Chelsea, or their supporters, very seriously......I mean LGJM, whose views I always enjoy reading on here and, most of the time, fully respect, came out with a classic a few weeks back, when he named Abramovich as one of his footballing heroes!!?...
Its this type of blind worship to the power of money, that has made football a tainted sport and turned many of its supporters into blinkered, greedy sorts who crave only success - Yes, winning is a great acheivement, but Abramovich's obsession with being number one in English and European football is an ugly spectacle and does nothing for Chelsea's reputation.
While his backing for the club is obviously crucial to Chelsea, his presence at the helm has increasingly led to them being a laughing stock, and I'm not quite sure that either he, or Chelsea's supporters, really want that?
