What did you think about York sacking Gary Mills , John ?
Furious. Best manager and the best football I've seen down there since 1985.
Still got to play loads of the sides around us in the league and it was in our own hands. The performance on Saturday was excellent, but two individual errors contrive to give away two goals and we lose. I couldn't fault the way they went about it, but to chuck away exciting, progressive football on a knee-jerk, reactive move like that looks damaging in the long-term. Not only that, but those other sides we've still to play are all panicking and sacking managers - even more reason for us not to.
Anyone any opinions on Nigel Worthington as a manager and tactician? Fairly sure he's a 4-4-2, stodgeball merchant, but happy to be - desperate to be - corrected on that because after having been spoiled by Mills's stylish approach for two and a half years, I don't want to watch regressive, outdated football.
Also, Lincoln City skipper Gary Mills released after a serious knee injury. Bad times for the Gary Mills's of this world.
