Where has the Packers fan gone who posts on here? Is he ripping the arms off his Rodgers teddy?

There is a lack of postings by ST CONROY today :D Hester is back as a KR ,just when you thought it was safe to kick to him look what happens.Peppers outplayed Matthews and Cutler did enough to win the game after a shaky start. At the start of the season I would have been happy with an 8-8 season but with the defence we've got and an improving offence a trip to Dallas in feb can't be ruled out.

Unfortunately some of us have University and can't post all of the time.

Disappointing first loss of the season but i generally always expect to split the division series.

Aside from that i'm still confident we are the best team in the division by some distance (and one of the best in the conference). We shot ourselves in the foot numerous times with penalties which wipped out TD's and INT's and were pretty average yet we still only lost by a game-ending FG.

Talking about getting carried away etc. I was reading an NFC West forum this morning and you should hear the Seahawks fans! A very lucky win against the Chargers and they think they are going to Dallas!

I'm not getting carried away am i?

The Seahawks have a very serious chance of winning the division considering the 49ers can't decide between utterly awful and decent, the Cardinals will do nothing with Anderson at QB and for the next few years the Rams are irrelevant.

Last nights game confirmed more than ever we need to upgrade the backfield. B-Jax is a good back-up. Kuhn is a great FB but marginal in the run game. A-Rod can rush but is no Vick at that aspect. We have nobody dominant and no doubt leads to the number of penalties we conceed as we always have to pass. We really need to trade for an RB. Marshawn Lynch or pick up somebody like Willie Parker.

Reeeeeeeaaallllllly hope we beat them. Forget the 49ers, Seattle are a team I cannot stand. If we win one only one more game all season, this would be the one I'd choose. Our record against divisional opponents in the last few years is diabolical considering how bad the other teams around us have been. I think we're 1-18 in divisonal matchups dating back to 2007

It's a shame that Jackson is looking like he might miss the next week or two. Wanted so see S-Jax run through Aaron Curry - they've got a little ongoing fued from last season after Jackson said that Curry was a cheap shot merchant.

Re: NFL Chat : Tue Sep 28, 2010 9:13 pm
The Seahawks were very lucky against the Chargers, we beat ourselves, much like we did against KC.

1st half was a joke. 2nd half our offense was immense, special teams was a joke - like is was against KC. The Seahawks offered little on offense, and when rivers got going, simply couldn't handle him - the picks were a mix of poor WR play, and a forced pass in the final play.

If they win the division it's by default. Really disappointed with San Francisco.

As far as the Bolts go, we're not too far away. D has been immense, the offense could score at any point, it's just putting it together. Special teams has been the let down this year. we miss the Special Team bBast that is Kassim Osgood.

Me: I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.

knockersbumpMKII: Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm

University? Thought you were at Edge Hill?

Shock horror that you don't give any credit whatsoever to the team that's just beaten you. The Packers are one of the best teams in the NFC but to suggest that the Packers are 'the best team in the division by some distance' shows your usual lack of grace and class.

I haven't shown a lack of grace, class or given no credit simply because i haven't discussed the Bears, i was looking at my own team.

The Bears are doing well at 3-0. Cutler is far improved from last year and the defence has some steel back. Even when they've looked average the Bears have done well to come out with the wins.

I do think we are the best team in the division. The Vikes are lost without a number 1 reciever, the Lions are competative but still irrelevant in terms of winning the division and the Bears are doing well. However if you look at the wins: Detroit. Calvin Johnson definately scored that TD its just a weird rule. Dallas. Nothing to say it was an excellent win. Us, we shot ourselves in the foot numerous times (losing INT's etc) take away even one of those penalties and we win. We beat ourselves.

Credit to the Bears for being there to win the games but i still feel we are the better team in the division and overall.
