What do the fans of the Manchester clubs think will happen on Sunday? Must say I'm looking forward to a great game. How will United set up? Will it be attack minded or will they put 10 men behind the ball and play for a point, due to City's more gifted midfield? Think we know what City will bring and if Aguero is fully fit I certainly see them scoring. Not wanting to be dramatic but what would a City win mean for Manchester? Would City fans believe that the tide has turned or is it too early in the season?

Can't wait.

Too early.

I'm glad you think you know what City will bring because I dont. Will Mancini revert back to a cautious approach, flood the midfield and play one attacker or go with the 4 attacking players? Will he risk Balotelli?

It may well be a great game, but it could also turn into a repeat of the bore draw played at City last year.

When I said I knew what City would bring, I meant in terms of how they would set up although I could take a fairly good guess at the personnel as well. Pretty sure he'll go Hart - Richards Lescott Komapny Clichy - De Jong Barry - Toure- Silva Nasri - Aguero. I'd be very surprised to see him go 4-4-2 with the ability of Toure to push up through midfield to support the front 3. Toure is an extremely important palyer in games like this with his engine, he can turn a defensive 4-3-3 into an attacking one with one of his lung busting runs.

Think United will come and play which is why I can't see it turning into a bore draw like last year.

What will Ferguson do? 4-5-1 or will Hernandez play up top with Rooney slightly in behind?

The Autumn Wind is a pirate
Blustering in from sea,
With a rollocking song, he sweeps along,
Swaggering boisterously.

His face is weather beaten.
He wears a hooded sash,
With a silver hat about his head,
And a bristling black mustache.

He growls as he storms the country,
A villain big and bold.
And the trees all shake and quiver and quake,
As he robs them of their gold.

The Autumn Wind is a raider,
Pillaging just for fun.
He'll knock you 'round and upside down,
And laugh when he's conquered and won.

Re: The Football Chat Thread : Wed Oct 19, 2011 3:58 pm
I think United will go.

De Gea

Smalling
Rio
Vidic
Evra

Fletcher
Anderson

Nani
Rooney (just behind)
Young

Welbeck

I think he will want the option of impact from the bench to be honest, I see him having the idea of Hernandez, Valencia and Berbatov as options.

Has King Kenny still got a newspaper column in the same paper that Kelvin Mackenzie now works for? Or did he do the honourable thing when they employed Mr Mackenzie?

Just seen the goals from tonight's Champions League games. What a cracking strike from Meireles and Torres took both his goals well. The Barcelona v Plzen was ridiculously boring. Yes Barça play some lovely football, but watching them knock the ball around for 10 minutes only for Dani Alves to smash the ball wide from just inside the box is the perfect cure for insomnia.

I thought the best goal of the night was Kevin Prince Boateng's for Milan. The control was just out of this world and the stike unstoppable.

I wouldnt be surprised if Milner featured. He was our best player at the weekend, played well every time he's started this season and had an impact when he came on against Villareal. I think Mancini would like to start with Aguero as the lone striker but there must be a question mark as to whether he's fit enough for such a demanding role.

That was a brilliant strike, Iniesta's goal was a peach too.
