Everton totally deserved that win today. They were dominant and the game was changed by Pienaar being sent off. The referee put himself in an impossible position there. The second one was a booking, he let the studs drop on Garcia's shin pad. (His reaction to it was one of the most embarrassing things I've ever seen on a football field. Hart and Tevez should have a word with themselves as well, begging the referee to send a player off like that is ridiculous. I thought they had stamped all that out? Tevez was waving cards around all day.) But Pienaar's first booking? No physical contact with the City player at all, a joke of a decision. His inconsistency was ridiculous as well, Fellaini booked for a fine tackle on Milner, Milner let off with several very cynical challenges, including one identical to Fellaini's.I can't understand City's 3 at the back formation. I suppose Mancini had to try something to finally get a win at Everton, but they showed nothing today. They would have been better having a go wide, get Clichy and Zabaleta forward almost as wingers, which would have stopped Baines and Coleman marauding forwards. Garcia, Barry, Milner in midfield as well is strange, about the worst midfield you can get in terms of creativity.
The linesman made two horrendous errors today. The offside against Mirallas spoiled a fantastic finish and secondly the penalty for handball. I was amazed when the ref didn't give the penalty, but to be fair to him, the linesman didn't give anything. I'd be interested to see which decision the ref gave. Free kick for a foul by Osman (Didn't touch him), handball by Osman (Didn't touch it) or the one by Fellaini. He seemed to point out Osman though.
Great to see Jelavic put it away at the end, hopefully that will spark a run of form to the end of the season.
