England's players are just not as good as everyone thinks.

The English clubs do well in the champions league, where they are surrounded by many foreign players.

Time for video technology obviously aswell, the football heirarchy must just think their game is so precious that it can't be spoilt with this evil technology that other sports such as RL make good use of.

Maybe Blatter thinks it's below him.

This analysis is terrible, given Ferdinand's injuries Upson and Terry have been the most common defensive partnership over the last year or so, but apparently "they've barely played together before" and it's all the fault of this "sudden switch in sides" for John Terry.

Why is Gerrard playing on the left when he is so effective in the middle.

Carrick is a quality player with a great passing range yet never looked like playing

Downing a natural left footer, played well all season not picked to even go.

Terry's form has been shocking the last few months, Upson hmmmm no pace, Johnson, why he's been picked i don't know.

Up front i would have gone with Defoe and Crouch, they've got a great understanding at Spurs
