Did anybody see the unveiling of Dickie Birds statue in Barnsley on the news i have never seen anybody get so emotional it brought i tear to my eye the way he talked about his Dad he was obviously a huge part of his life.

The statue seems to portray Dickie laughing as he raises a finger to dismiss a batsman. I'm sure he never did that - his raised finger was generally accompanied by a slight pause, an apologetic frown, and (lip-reading) a comment of "that's out" as if to emphasise he had no option and didn't really want to send the man on his way.

I still think they should've modelled it on how he looked walking off at Headingley yelling "it's not my fault!" to anyone who'd listen...

Sayers not out 76
Lyth not out 68

Combined with a 106 first innings lead we're in a decent position at this stage, but obviously I'd expect that to change rather soon!

How long is it since we won a CC game?

0 as of yet this season, and we weren't so hot at the end of last year, must be knocking on a year.

393 for Lancs to chase down, and, basically, its above 300 ruling out any chance of a successful chase. 9 wickets however, wonder if they can hold out.
