The Panthers have just resigned DeAngelo Williams and signed Olindo Mare and Ben Hartsock.

Shouldn't they be signing Cam Newton to a contract first?

If the Eagles trade Kolb for DRC and a pick it is ridiculous.

There are no other teams who are realistically in the hunt for Kolb. He has proven nothing yet while DRC is a pro-bowler and part of an exciting backfield with Peterson who they drafted.

Agreed. Don't get it. Well I do, Kolb is a QB and the Cards are desperate. But DRC had a great rookie season, had a bit of a slump last year but still has a ton of potential. Makes nonsense. Offer a 3rd round pick. Take it or leave it.

Having 2 good corners against a team that puts out 5 receivers isn't going to do jack. As long as the Patriots have Brady and the Jets have Sanchez I'll take the Patriots to win the division.

I don't rate Kolb. He looked OK in his limited time but nothing to be worthy of such high offers. IMO the Cards would be better off long term by picking up somebody like McNabb/Hasselbeck/T-Jack (obviously McNaab/Jackson are gone now) and going all out for Luck next year.

They are sacrificing one year and a potentially great backfield to satisfy Fitz. Even if they can't get an FA QB in Skelton is passable for a season.
