Newcastle vs Everton is Saturday's early Sky Kickoff.
Very important game for Everton - if we lose then we really will begin to get dragged into a battle. Drenthe is back from suspension which will be a boost as he was playing some great football before his red card.
Newcastle have an average squad, generally inferior to Everton in most departments, but they have the quality player which Everton lack up front. We were close to signing Demba Ba over the Summer and failed, and moreover failed to sign a quality frontman, and yet again we are paying the price.
Optimistic anyway - when we need a result we can get one. Hopefully McFadden will get some game time aswell.

I really liked your post until you said hopefully McFadden will get some game time I'm hope I'm not getting up at 6.30am and travelling to Newcastle to watch McFadden offer fook all!
I think I'd take Saha over Demba Ba though, he's hit some cracking form lately but when he's fit Saha is still class. I'd loved us to have signed Demba Ba in the summer, he was a player I really wanted but always thought we'd lose out to someone. Whatever happens on Saturday we've got some bigger games coming up IMO with Wolves, Bolton and Stoke after the international break and they could really dictate where we will be in the new year. Couldn't agree more about Drenthe though he was really looking good until he got sent off too, he could be the key to us opening Newcastle up.
