Excellent stuff mate, very well done!
Secondly...In response to Dave Lister earlier regarding the ride on Dunguib...I agree with Gaz in that is was a poor and inexperienced effort from Brian O'Connell. He had too much confidence and was in a poor position and held on for too long. Menorah and GMOOH kicked for home at a point in the race where a lot of horses make a move at Cheltenham. O' Connell himself made a move at exactly the same point in the bumper last year and very quickly put the race to bed putting about 3-4 lengths between himself and the favourite and then running on strongly up the hill.
When the front 2 made the move O' Connell was in an awful position about 8 horses wide and IMO lost many lengths at that point. For a split second he seemed to start pushing but then got back on the bridle and IMO that was an error of judgement. He should have been in a better position at that point and I put that down to inexperience.
What has been a disastrous day for all my ante-post bets with Dunguib being sunk, was an absolute shocker all round, but just managed to get a bit back with Lacdoudal getting a place and Quevega winning the finale.
Tomorrow will hopefully be another day and a bit more succsesful!
