Very, very good bit of business for Liverpool - especially on a free transfer. Should give the whole club a lift and if they're able to offload a few more of the flops like Riera and Lucas and bring in a couple of shrewd buys with the limited money available, things might not be too bad for them next year.

I'd be interested also to see how Aquilani and Babel get on under Hodgson next season.

On paper it looks a good bit of business. Have they ended up paying 30 or 40K more pw for Cole though?
