It is clear that you believe you are smarter than everyone else but it would help if you actually had a clue what you were talking about.
I would have thought that Mourinho's number one bum boy would appreciate the value of the trophy in question as it was his first European honour and put him immediately on the radar of Europes big clubs, and also Chelsea.
At least Newcastle have won a European trophy that still exists unlike your lot who won the pot that was so pointless that it was dumped in the mid nineties.
The Cup Winners Cup was a massively inferior competition compared to the CL/European Cup. But it was still a thousand times more important than the Intertoto.
We won a couple of pointless, stupid competitions. The Full Members Cup and Zenith Data Systems Cup if I remember rightly. Even though we were massively starved of success I don't think many Chelsea fans considered those trophies to be valid, They were just a glimpse of success that we wished we were getting for real.
I have respect for NUFC.
But I don't have respect for Roofs and his failed gloryhunting stupidity. I have never, ever claimed that our success has been anything other than bought because of Abramovich's investment. I know there's pretty much zero chance we'd have won the league or competed as we have in the CL without RA. But to claim that our trophies have zero value, which Roofs does continually, is so stupid as to deserve the derision I give him.
While the money RA spent is a massive part of Chelsea's trophy haul, the simple fact is without the luck factor in acquiring Mourinho, we could have spent all that money and only had a fraction of the success we've had. As I hope Manchester City will prove, it is possible to spend a billion quid and still end up trophyless.
Then there's the stupidity with Roofs devaluing Chelsea's success because Roman supposedly just bought the trophies, but absolutely zero acknowledgement from Roofs that the success of Man U and Liverpool has also been helped by being owned by a pools billionaire and the richest, most powerful club in the land at a time when Sky's money/CL money became so important. To only write off Chelsea's and Citeh's achievement but to ignore the advantages that those clubs have received is ridiculous IMO.
Even Arsenal have a massively beneficial setup over most clubs. They act like they are Wimbledon playing in the Premier League, but they're the second/third most powerful club in the country. They have been owned by very rich owners throughout their history and gained success through that. Their strategy of spending big on potential is still too expensive for most clubs.
To just write off any success that Chelsea or Citeh achieve is just stupid, and I'll treat it as such.
For a gloryhunting fake geordie to be doing it, I'm going to treat him in the manner he deserves.
And if you don't like it, go **** yourself.
