Agreed, I got 95, yet managed to forget players like Yakubu, Kuyt, Speed and Cantona.

The FA are appealing Rooney's 3 match ban for his red card against Montenegro. They're supposedly going to withdraw the appeal if they think it's going to be extended.

Hopefully UEFA treat the appeal with the contempt it deserves and give him an extra match for the frivolous appeal.

And so you aim towards the sky,
And you'll rise high today,
Fly away, Far away,
Far from pain....

Saw enough in the Newcastle-Everton game to see that the Magpies are in a totally false position and will quickly slip down to a comfortable mid table finish.

Also saw enough to suggest Everton are in for a long, old season of struggle....Nothing in midfield, no pace, zero threat up front - Unless the banks release them some cash in January, then they will be in the mix with the dead wood at the bottom for a trip to the Championship.

Everton are surely too solid to go down. We'll win games at home.

Moyes just needs to stop being so scared of going forward. One up front with Saha will never, ever work. Cahill up there with him would be okay. Bar Heitinga's abomination Everton didn't play badly today, Newcastle are just on a lucky run and work hard, but they've got absolutely no quality.

The only positive for Everton at the moment is how bad Wigan, Bolton and Blackburn are....

Everton's problem is that they are just so blunt going forward.....Its no surprise thier only goal was from a set piece - In open play they look clueless, they could have played all afternoon without scoring an equaliser.

As for the earlier Hibbert/Coleman argument??....The fact is that both are hopeless and shouldn't be anywhere near a first team shirt....How Coleman got a full 90 minutes today was absolutely puzzling - He should have been off at half time, such was the awfulness of his display....Hibbert is just Hibbert - as honest as the day comes, but ultimately very, very poor. The argument that he is a decent defender is a redundant one in modern day football. The fact he can't pass a ball means he should be playing League 1 or 2 football at best.

Also, I have my doubts we can carry Drenthe in the present situation.....He obviously has talent, but the way he flits in and out of matches is a very big worry for the hard winter ahead that the team faces.

Excellent post mate, perfectly sums up the position we are in. It's going to be a struggle, we may well pick up points over post international break with games we have but it's going to be inconsistent all season. In fact we have to pick up points between now and Christmas otherwise we'll be in big big trouble. Good point about Drenthe too, as much as I've enjoyed seeing him play for us at times he's very much a luxury player, I'm not sure if we are able to carry players like him when he's off his game.

The reason I advocate Hibbert for right back is because we have no better option at the club, Coleman offers very little infront of him either, unfortuantely we're so so limited we have nobody better to play instead. I still think Hibbert is a good defender and for me there are more urgent concerns throughout the squad. It's dreadful to watch right now though, I need a pint after that trip today.

I'm a firm believer in innocent until proven guilty but Des Kelly raises some interesting points about Terry.
