Everton are surely too solid to go down. We'll win games at home.
Moyes just needs to stop being so scared of going forward. One up front with Saha will never, ever work. Cahill up there with him would be okay. Bar Heitinga's abomination Everton didn't play badly today, Newcastle are just on a lucky run and work hard, but they've got absolutely no quality.
The only positive for Everton at the moment is how bad Wigan, Bolton and Blackburn are....
Everton's problem is that they are just so blunt going forward.....Its no surprise thier only goal was from a set piece - In open play they look clueless, they could have played all afternoon without scoring an equaliser.
As for the earlier Hibbert/Coleman argument??....The fact is that both are hopeless and shouldn't be anywhere near a first team shirt....How Coleman got a full 90 minutes today was absolutely puzzling - He should have been off at half time, such was the awfulness of his display....Hibbert is just Hibbert - as honest as the day comes, but ultimately very, very poor. The argument that he is a decent defender is a redundant one in modern day football. The fact he can't pass a ball means he should be playing League 1 or 2 football at best.
Also, I have my doubts we can carry Drenthe in the present situation.....He obviously has talent, but the way he flits in and out of matches is a very big worry for the hard winter ahead that the team faces.
