Nice to see the people's choice for next England manager (Redknapp), has bid £28m for two players from Palermo, one of which is a striker.

Wonder what the two English strikers at his club will think of this?

Obviously he's excused because everyone knew he wasn't good enough in the first place? Because him letting in the 3rd effectively lost the game for us. And IMO there was no excuse for him getting beat by that shot.

Wasn't that England schools?

Giggs gave an interview in which he said that whole thing about him choosing Wales over England was a non issue. He said he wasn't eligible to play for England, other than at schoolboy level.

Danny Rose
Danny Welbeck
Tom Huddlestone
Milner
Rooney

There're probably more aswell. Hopefully more of these players can break into their club sides and eventually get a chance for England. There's some exciting players coming through, particulary in midfield.

Jonjo Shelvey-Liverpool?
Sturridge-Chelsea?
Cahill-Bolton?

Id throw these into your team too.

It was only for England schools - was Salford schools he played for and was then eligible to be picked for England schools.
Not sure if it's on uchoob but there is some TV footage of him playing for both Salford & England schoolboys.

And whilst there are some good youngsters on the list a few posts up, it ain't exciting players England needs. It's a couple of boring, barely noticeable players who are comfortable with possession of the ball and can distribute it simply to the players around them without resorting to 50-yard lumps upfield.

Adam Johnson could easily be England's star player if given the chance. Robben-esque.

Where England have badly, badly missed Owen Hargreaves IMO.

When he's fit, twice the player of Gareth Barry.
