Looking at the players above him, and taking into account that 20th could sometimes be 6 or 7 shots back I think you're in with a good shout. Another big factor is that he knows how to get the job done. I'd certainly rather be on him at 100/1 than not at this stage!

Newbury 4.05 Elusive Pimpernel 11/2

Was a top class 3yo and showed signs of that on its first run in 2011, this is the first time its been out of Group company big concern would be if the rain changes the going alot from its current good to firm.

Diamondhead in the first at Newmarket in a single, and doubled with The Cheka. Trying to play it safe today.

Mention might be worth a look in the Super Sprint. Meehan's juveniles usually progress well as the season goes on, and there is no jockey in better form than SDS.

Done it myself. Apparently had leg problems in the past, so any softening of the ground would be appreciated. Done it in a patent with.

Imperial Pippin 12/1 @ newmarket. gosden had 3 entered at the 5 day stage, but relies on just this 1, who should be well suited to the step up in trip and softer ground. ( Will be laying the Cecil hotpot thats been backed off the boards.

Retainer 20/1 @ newbury. Form of his maiden win last year has worked out very well, but his 2 races this year has not produced any winners. Pulled hard lto and boxed in at a vital stage over 7f. Back down to 6f and softer ground today, hopefully Jimmy fortune will just let him bowl along.Family of sprinters, Acclamation, Felicita and Catrail.

Not according to Dunlop. He blamed soft ground at Sandown for his below par effort, and he was also sent over to the Curragh when it was Irish Derby weekend but didn't run due to the ground being on the soft side.

Just did Wild Coco too, haven't had much chance to look at the cards today.

Wild Coco could stay even further than this I reckon. If she wins well today, don't be surprised if the St Leger is a target for her.

Had a go on a outsider in the hope it gets place money.

Rumh @ 50/1 EW and place @ 9/1

Huge difference in price with Dancing Rain who beat it by 3 lengths on its run in 2011 also the 1st in that race came 3rd to Dancing Rain in the English Oaks, Rumh then won well before being turned out quick to run at Ascot a well backed 2nd fav but could only manage a well beaten 6th but wasn't ridden from the front like its last run, its job today is pacemaker for Blue Bunting as she needs the pace my hope its that will suit Rumh and Smullen might steal a march on these an hold for the place.
