I think they look good. Don't like collars on football shirts, so that's a - for the home shirt.

The away shirt reminds me of the Bradford Bulls shirt the season where they murdered Wigan in the GF.

I like the look of the home one but still undecided on the away shirt especially the white lightning bolt on the sleaves :?

The sending off of the Lyon player shows just why the Respect campaign isn't worth 5hit.

The Lyon player won the ball cleanly. The ref gives the free kick against him. The ref then books him for it. When being booked the player thrusts his hands together in anger at the ridiculous decision. The ref decides to give him a second yellow for that and sends him off.

The Respect campaign needs to be centred on the refs. They should be told that they'll get respect when they don't come up with decisions like tonight's. If they do, then they should be treated with the contempt they deserve.

 Ruined the game in my opinion. Lyon had 45 minutes to rescue their Champions League, but as soon as he got the red their heads went down and... well Bayern are off to Madrid.

Whilst I agree, the whole point of the respect campaign is to respect the referees and accept human error. The refereeing standard is poor and inconsistent IMO, but mistakes happen and it shouldn't be accepted that footballers behave in such a way on the field. As the argument always happens, in rugby, players generally accept the decision and if they don't, they get penalized for it. Football should be the same, players have to accept poor decisions, we know they won't but arguing a lost cause does absolutely little to help them.

I'm all for the respect campaign if it's done correctly, I get sick and tired of seeing footballers whinge their tits off every game because the ref made a mistake (in their opinion). Refereeing will never be perfect until technology is introduced, until that happens, players should have to get on with it and accept that human error will continue to be part of the game.

Re: Season Ending Football Chat : Wed Apr 28, 2010 7:39 am
one for the future??

    Thomas Ince

    Date of Birth : 30 Jan 1992
    Nationality : English

18 year old Thomas Ince is the son of former Reds skipper Paul. Thomas is a left winger with an excellent left foot who can also play on the right wing. However, towards the end of the 2008/09 season, Thomas moved into a central role just behind Lauri Dalla Valle which proved very successful towards the end of the campaign.

Thomas Ince has trained with the Academy for the last number of years and has worked his way successfully through the Liverpool's schoolboy teams and in the Summer of 2008 he was rewarded for his progress with a 3 year scholarship.

Thomas is quick, he can beat players and he is very good technically. He is developing well and as he gets bigger and stronger he will influence games more. He was one of the stars of the 2008/09 FA Youth Cup team that reached the final and he produced some sparkling performances, most notably his performance in the FA Youth Cup 3rd Round 2-1 win over Leeds at Elland Road. Ince gave a man of the match performance to ensure Hughie McAuleys side progressed through to the fourth Round. Ince played in a central striking role alongside Dalla Valle and capped a fine individual performance when he gave Liverpool the lead by curling a sublime 25 yard free kick into the top corner on 15 minutes.

The 2008/09 season was his debut season for the U18’s where he impressed featuring in 18 games for the U18's scoring 2 goals. He ended the 2008-09 season playing for the reserves in a tournament in Holland.

So far this season Ince has played 20 U18 League Games scoring two goals, he also fetured in the three Youth Cup Games where he also scored two goals...

The Barcelona, they are not liking the Special One.

They have obsession with the Madrid.

    Shut up Pep!
