Graeme Souness is talking with a lot of class about Suarez here. He's clearly aware of the impact of what the man has done on Liverpool's reputation. I said at the time of the racism case and Liverpool FC's defense of him that the club's heritage was the victim of it all. It's the same here, that one man has brought a proud club to it's knees and he's undone 100+ years of work building that club's name in two incidents of disgusting behaviour.

Ajax binned him off after his last biting moment. He got a 7 game ban in Holland for that. I can't see him getting much less than that here, he'll certainly miss the end of the season. As Souness points out, how long can the owners accept his impact on the reputation of the club?

Rodgers doing himself on favours here by refusing to condemn Suarez for his bite and trying to deflect the controversy onto Torres for an elbow.

If that were Moyes, he'd come out and say it was a disgrace and take it on the chin. "No comment" is not a valid response there. No class at all.

You can. Some rather strange caller to 606 has just stated that if Ivanovic doesn't have bite marks, then Suarez was simulating biting him......

That's got to be a troll.

But, actually, that's probably just somebody under the spell of Suarez so that they defend him after the indefensible.

But at least they are admitting he's a simulating **** now.

Made me laugh. He'll cop a ban and will take a beating from all corners, but no harm was done and I'm sure we'll move on in time. Idiotic behaviour, his inability to control himself has been his downfall once again. Ah well, you see much more malicious, snide things every week, this was just idiotic and weird.

I know I'm biased, but that to me wasn't even a foul by Torres. Torres jumped early to head the ball. Carragher went into the back of him to put him off his header. I didn't see an elbow from Torres, and it was Carragher's own fault if he did get caught because he shouldn't have been making that challenge on a player in the air anyway.

Am I just so biased that I got that wrong?
