Apparently Brady claimed in her latest column that "I know more about the offside law than perhaps a girl should." So is Brady also a sexist?

Sure I read that she wants equality in the workplace yet 75% of staff she hires are women. I expect Gray and Keys to apologise over the next couple of days and be back in place for this weekends Super Sunday.

Good post, mate. Spot on for me, I've never liked Keys anyway so the sooner he gets fooked off the better. If he it was done in a jokey way then it wouldn't have been an issue but they actually sounded really bitter and unhappy because a female was running the line. Considering they've been in TV so long it was really unprofessional.

Personally, I don't care who runs the line as long as they are good at their job.

I would say that you're out of touch there pal in a pretty big way. You may think it but to suggest that a woman can't call an offside decision because of her gender is just ridiculous. Good article here.

Hopefully they'll keep the two dinosaurs in the background until Sunday 6 February. Then they can take themselves off to Upton Park for the West Ham v Birmingham game. It would also be a nice touch if Sian Massey was appointed to the game too. They could then make their apologies in person AND IN PUBLIC

I haven't read the article. I will do in a sec. The comment was a little rushed.

Anyway, I'd clarify that I don't actually think that 99% of people would think that, but a very high % would talk smack like that. But the fact is, Keys and Gray probably spend half their time talking smack about everyone in the game off mic. On camera they'll say neutral things about a player because Sky would fire them if they started offending players en masse, but off camera they'll be wondering how the player has managed to steal a living. Their view on refs will be universally bad. Nobody likes refs and they are a target for abuse throughout football.

And so you aim towards the sky,
And you'll rise high today,
Fly away, Far away,
Far from pain....

Re: Football Chat Thread : Mon Jan 24, 2011 7:41 pm
Just as an aside, how far will this whole 'females in football' actually go??.....How long before we have a talented girl demanding to play in a male professional side and taking the whole thing to court?

We've already had cases at junior level, which have caused upset and which the media have latched onto, so imagine the furore if/when it happens at adult professional level?

I imagine, legally, a court would side with the lady?.....
