I often wondered why they are universally known as just united when other teams have that second name as well. I've come to the conclusion it's because none of their fans actually come from manchester.

It's the same case for others as well though, isn't it? Mention Rangers or Real anywhere in the footballing world and most people will apply it to Glasgow and Madrid.

It's the equivalent of immediately thinking of Elvis Presley without his surname being used, but many simply don't like to admit to them having that level of fame/recognition.

What a bunch of arrogant, tabloidesque pundits we have on Sky. The problem with the 'pundits' is that they are all rich, overpaid and thick ex-footballers themselves and therefore condone that reaction as the referee is an insignificant Scandinavian. Thank God we don't have that sort of arrogant rabble in Rugby League.

The reaction of the media and all the Chelsea players is typical of football's overpaid, arrogant, tabloid culture. John Terry has publicly backed Drogba after he went on an aggressive tantrum at the referee and then swore at tv cameras. What an example they all set for the millions of children watching.

Haven't been on here for a few days. Can anyone confirm whether or not these myths are still being used:

Liverpool are the best club side in Europe under Benitez.

Arsenal are the worlds best footballing side. The future's bright.

Only Utd players surround the referee.

Bottom 2 can be confirmed as myths. The top one can't be answered yet as we haven't played you in European competition. I guess we will have to go on head to heads from our domestic league this year.
