Without having the inclination to go back, the inference was that Benitez did not sign Keane, it was Parry as Benitez did not want him. It wasn't a Benitez type of signing.

Hiddink's a caretaker manager, he's been at Chelsea for about half a season, there's no way he can take credit for the other half of Chelsea's season. Hiddink's done well since he's came in, but Rafa's had us all season and I think finishing second in the league and giving a pretty decent challenge should put him higher than Hiddink, Hiddink being second in the running is ridiculous, a little like Giggs winning the PFA player of the year award.

When Hiddink came in Chelsea had just drawn with Hull City 0-0. They'd been beaten 2-0 by Liverpool for Liverpool to complete the double over us, before that Chelsea had put up a shambolic performance and got a 3-0 hiding by Man United.

The talk was of Chelsea going out to Juve in the Champions League and Aston Villa taking Chelsea's CL qualifying place.

Hiddink turned around Chelsea's season. He's reached the FA Cup Final, beat Juve and Liverpool in the CL and produced an awesome performance against supposedly the best side in Europe in the CL semi.

Cementing 3rd place, a CL final qualifying performance robbed by a ridiculous reffing performance, an FA Cup final place is surely better than a second place in the PL by itself.

Under Scolari, Chelsea only took one point against the top 5 and hadn't won a single London derby. Under Hiddink, Chelsea have beaten Liverpool in the CL, beaten West Ham, beaten Fulham, beaten Arsenal in the FA Cup semi and are beating Arsenal 2-0 at half time.
