If I remember that game rightly, he handled Drogba very well all game, and was desperately unlucky to score the OG. Now for a young lad making his PL debut against one of the world's best strikers, he did well. I reckon we've been watching him for a while, and are afraid that Arsenal will make a move before us.

Having him as a cover at CB, will enable Brown to play RB alongside Rafael, presuming that Neville retires this year. I'd quite like him to be loaned back to Fulham for the rest of the season to give him some more first XI experience.

Apparantly Milan and other Italian clubs are now interested in Vidic.

He got a lot of praise for his performance that day and it was ironic that he should be the one to score the own goal.

I hope it's not a case of Smalling in as a direct replacement for Vidic. That would severely weaken us.

Madrid preparing a serious bid for Vidic according to two seperate papers over here today. One paper had a figure of €32 million for the move which would happen in the summer.

Classic Madrid! They're going to the Spanish FA today protesting that Ronaldo shouldn't be banned because 'he didn't intend to break Mtiliga's nose'.

Ronaldo doesn't get expected 1 game ban...


he gets a 2 game ban.
