Being hypothetical.....

If Gerrard or Torres came out with what Riera did do you really think they'd be on the next plane to "Moscow"?

I aint fussed. It's too little too late for me.

They raised the prices last season when every other club in the Premier League either froze or reduced their prices. Had there not been significant unrest and bad feeling towards the Glazer's since January, you can guarantee that the prices would have increased again next season.

They're just trying to tempt those on the fence to renew, and those that don't have a ST to become OU members this season, and then get on the "waiting-list" for next season. Business wise, it's a smart move by them, as they realise a small hit on prices which could tempt more people to renew/join, is better than increasing the prices and risk losing thousands of ST holders.

MUST should come out now and try persuade people not to renew or buy a ST, otherwise the work done so far to unite the fans and highlight the problems with the Glazer's will have been for nothing, pushing any potential takeover further away.

How does that work? Even though the transfer window is open in Russia, its closed over here so my understanding of it is any transfer of a player from a English club can be completed now but the player can't play until the next window opens. Is it different if selling to a foreign team who's window is open?

TBH, as much as I laughed at that, what could James have done?

The ball's being chased by Drogba and James has to clear it, any keeper in the world is going to get done by the ball hitting a divot like it did.

Re: More football chat : Wed Mar 24, 2010 8:51 pm
My take on the two "elbowing" incidents.

Malouda lead with his arm. Got booked, but should have been a red, because he's lead with his arm. This should be the incident which finally ends the nonsense of not punishing a player if he's already been dealt with.

Gale and Darke need their eyes testing though. Gale in particular kept banging on about Malouda getting nowhere near the ball. Malouda won the ball ya daft b*******! It clearly came off his head.

Sturridge. Absolutely nothing in that whatsoever. Sturridge has the ball at his feet and is shaping to play the ball forward. Pompey player runs into his elbow. Accidents happen. There was absolutely no indication that was a deliberate elbow.
