Gambles on plots is what makes the sport.

A lot of trainers couldn't lie straight in a bed to be honest. There's not enough blokes like John Gosden and Henry Cecil.

Had a little bet on Prince Siegfried (Epsom, 5/4) on my way to the gym, recouped a little of what I lost on Wild Coco etc.

Small win but a tonic-non-the-less, after Wild Coco making it blatantly obvious she won't go on fast ground against decent horses, The Real Article showing he wasn't the good thing most people thought, and Bridgefield getting boxed in all the way home.

Only small stakes, playing with what I've collected past two days. Unsure about tomorrow yet; looking forward to Saturday's Nassau though.

Fridays tips

14:00 Redwood
should've benefitted from run at Newmarket after a couple of months off, and can win this for the second year in a row. Jukebox Jury is a live danger though, but Redwood holds him through Afsare and holds Harris Tweed through Campanologist.
14:35 Western Aristocrat
was a strong finisher over 7f in the Jersey at Ascot and should have more to come after less than a handful of career starts. Won't have it easy but looks a very decent performer in the making.
15:10 Sagromor
won at Royal Ascot and looks to have more to come from the bottom of the weights and could be an E/W steal.
15:45 Harbour Watch
rated very highly by Hannon and Hughes and looks to have a good chance of following up.
16:20 Royal Blush
could be another E/W steal, should have more to offer now handicapping, starts on a decent mark and has a capable claimer on board. Would be a shorter price but yard are struggling a bit, not as many decent horses as they used to have now that the Hay's have taken all their horses out of the yard.
16:50 Perfect Tribute
with a lot of inconsistent/unreliable fillies in this race it may show a bit of value siding with this one, ground will be fine and this is her best trip after finding the soft ground and extra furlong too much at Chantilly last time.
17:25 Bravo King
looks a surefire improver in a trappy contest but may be worth the chance.

Really tempted to have a nice bet on Redwood but its the clown on board that puts me off. Would be shorter than 11/4 with a decent jockey on board.

From where he is drawn and likely to be raced, if Hills doesn't get it spot-on it'll be curtains as there are a few good rivals, Jukebox Jury looks to have had this as his target to name one.

Done my bets for tomorrow.

Big single on Harbour Watch @ 8/11. Hughes said in Saturdays RP 'if we had one better for the Richmond he would be in the race - and we haven't!'.
Should be even better than he was at Newmarket as he is reportedly working very well.

Cheeky £1 acca

Western Aristocrat @ 6/4
Harbour Watch @ 8/11
Mister Music @ SP (Newm. 18.55)
Address Unknown @ SP (Galway 20.30)

First leg of it I'm most nervous about as Noseda said he doesn't want the ground to dry too much, coupled with him being against some very capable horses.

Played Green Destiny today in the 3:10. I think he's a very good horse in the making and if he can reproduce what he did lto then I think he's going to be very hard to beat, especially from his low draw. One concern is the step back down to 8f will be a bit too sharp for him.

Also going to get on Harbour Point after I think.

14:35 Goodwood 7/2 - Neebras

The fav looks very good but at the prices am going for Neebras as its been doing well enough in top class Group 1s the last two outings, came 4th in St James's Palace Stakes with the likes of Frankel, Zoffany, Excelebration (German 2,000 Guineas winner) and Dream Ahead back in 5th.

Last time in went in the Prix Jean Prat behind the unbeaten Mutual Trust, Zoffany, Strong Suit, Glorious Sight (2nd in French 1,000 Guineas and 3rd in Group 1 Prix De Diane) and Venomous (3rd in French 2,000 Guineas).

From that level to a Listed level here I reckon its got a decent shout here.

Returns at 4/1

Boom

Got 8/11 on Harbour Watch last night, thought the gamble would continue all day while I was at work... like most Hannon 2yos at meetings like this. Was rather pleased to get home at 3.40 and see he was 10/11 and eventually went off at evens - was just hoping something wasn't amiss like with Wild Coco yesterday. Won ready as you like and was even carried well off his stride across the track.

Rimth 14/1 EW 4 Places - 4.50 Goodwood

Placed 2 twice behind Hooray in Group races as a 2yo then hacked up on first 3yo start in Fred Darling Stakes showing a great turn of foot to cut through the field, didn't get the mile in the French 1,000 Guineas so a drop to 7f again looks a goof plan.

4th @ 18/1 will do.

Last day tomorrow, looks tricky been a great week.

How did you manage to get a pay out on 4th place? I know there were about 17 runners but it wasn't a handicap, so I would've presumed just the 3 places?

Surely thats Memory finished now. Took ages to leave the stalls twice at Newmarket then totally refused today.

The Nassau looks a cracker tomorrow, there shouldn't be much between the two market leaders now that it has emerged Misty For Me will not run due to the ground.

The way I see it ATM, is Queally will kick on first on Midday with Dettori still at the back of the field motionless and, if he gets his timing right, could mug Midday on the line. Need to read the RP before I decide what I'm backing though.
