According to the BBC, Moyes could be announced as United manager tomorrow and take charge of his last Everton home match on Saturday.

What sort of reception would he get? A reflection of the work he's done for the club, or similar to Rooney?

I'm really not sure he is. He has a net spend higher than Moyes had at Everton over the same period and very few of Martinez' buys are ever any good. He is a mini Harry Redknapp, just buying players left, right and centre at random.

He can motivate his players, but seems very poor tactically. He'll take Wigan down this season and I'd much rather Everton looked elsewhere. But hopefully not at Neil Lennon, what a horrible man he is.

Think they'll be gutted they didn't get money for him as his contract's up. Bill will be kicking himself.

It'll be interesting to find out how long Moyes has known about this. It's pretty logical to link his refusal to sign a new deal with Everton with this. There are rumours coming out of United that Ferguson's retirement was confirmed to the club in November and that they've been working behind the scenes since then. Did Moyes know then? Did he know 12 months before then?

The move throws up a few interesting aspects. One of the most important is Wayne Rooney's future. How well do Moyes and Rooney get on? Did they ever resolve their issues after Moyes sued Rooney?

Would a move away from United for Rooney suit all parties? It would give Everton some cash due to clauses reported to be in his United contract, it would give United the money to sign a big name replacement and it would resolve an otherwise awkward situation between Rooney and Moyes.

It depends I guess on what Moyes says if he takes the job before the game. I'd like to think he'd be given a good send off, but it could get quite ugly if we don't win the game or if he came out with any controversial comments that were construed as being disrespectful by the more extreme elements of the Goodison faithful.

Going by the reports on Sky Sports News this morning, Moyes won't have to worry about how he gets on with Rooney, as he apparently wants out!!

I see Dave Whelan has decided to provide more evidence that he's a fruitcake. Apparently when Martinez leaves Wigan it should be directly to one of Europe's top clubs, the likes of Everton are not worthy of him.

He is crazy, but somehow he seems to manage to persuade Martinez to stick around. I see that changing when they are relegated this season however.

I'm not entirely sure Everton would go for him though. There is a lot on twitter about Mark Hughes having been interviewed today, which would frankly be appalling.
